How it works

Globe Pad is a launchpad on Robinhood Chain built on Pons V2. Anyone can launch a token and back it with any stock or real-world asset in the world, not just the ones Robinhood lists.

The network

Everything settles on Robinhood Chain, chain id 4663, an Ethereum layer 2 whose gas token is ETH. RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com, explorer robinhoodchain.blockscout.com. Your wallet is asked to switch to it before anything is signed.

Backing assets

A token declares one backing asset from either side of the universe:

  • Robinhood Stock Tokens. The 194 tokenised US stocks and ETFs Robinhood has deployed on chain as ERC-20s, read live from Robinhood's on-chain asset registry. Prices come from Robinhood's token price feed (bid and ask, refreshed every 15 seconds) with the corporate-action multiplier applied.
  • Global markets. 640+ stocks, indices, ETFs, commodities and currency pairs across 48 countries: Samsung and SK hynix in Korea, Toyota and Sony in Japan, Petrobras and Vale in Brazil, Reliance and Infosys in India, plus gold, silver, oil, gas and the big indices. Priced from the exchange's own quote.

The backing is the token's verified identity. Its live price and chart sit on the token page next to the curve. Holding the token gives no ownership or rights in the asset.

Launching on Pons V2

Pick a backing, name the token, choose a creator tax, sign one transaction. Your wallet calls the Pons factory (0x7eD598BcEf8bd9Edd8C97A195C6d13f40801EC7e) with the launch fee (0.0005 ETH). Pons deploys the token with a supply of one billion and a bonding curve priced in ETH, and you are the creator fee recipient. The server records the launch only after it finds the TokenLaunched event in your receipt.

Trading

Tokens trade on the Pons bonding curve straight from your wallet, with a 1% slippage guard. At 4.2 ETH raised the curve closes and liquidity moves to a full-range Uniswap v4 pool locked forever in the Pons Launch Locker. The token page links to Uniswap once that happens.

Fees, earned in the backing

Every trade pays Pons's base fee, split 70% to the creator and 30% to Pons, plus the creator tax (0 to 10%, chosen at launch) which goes entirely to the creator. The creator fee recipient is not your wallet: it is a Globe Pad vault, one per launch, derived from the treasury. Fees collect there and are shown to you in the asset that backs your token.

When the backing is a Robinhood Stock Token that Pons accepts as a pair (AAPL, TSLA, NVDA, SPY, GLD and about sixty others), the launch is priced in that token, fees arrive in it, and you are paid out in it. For every other backing, the launch is priced in ETH: when you claim, the ETH is booked at that moment's price as units of the backing (a $100 claim on a Samsung-backed token shows as the Samsung shares $100 buys), and withdrawals pay out in ETH, since the asset is not on chain.

Claim and withdraw on the Claim page. Claiming pulls the fees from the Pons escrow into your vault; withdrawing sends everything claimed and not yet taken to your wallet.

Wallets

Every wallet installed in your browser is listed by name and icon, discovered through EIP-6963, and you pick one. The choice is remembered and reconnected silently next time.
